HIGH SCHOOL INITIATIVE:

The Centre for Modern Initiatives is currently accepting Secondary School Initiative proposals.

The Secondary School Initiative assists Canadian students who are between the ages of 14 and 18 and who are currently enrolled in any form of Secondary education. This includes traditional high schools as well as home schools.

This initiative is designed to assist financially and serve in an advisory capacity. Proposals must be socially constructive in nature. This may include but is not limited to:

Volunteer work (locally and oversees)
Workshops and short term education (does not include formal post-secondary schooling)
Travel and research
Involvement in Community initiatives
Self-initiatives

Proposals must include:

Parent or Guardian letter of consent with contact information
Full name, address, email, and phone number
Detailed description of the proposal
Timeline (as specific as possible)
Relevant supporting material.
One adult reference letter from someone who is in a leadership role.
One peer reference letter.
A detailed budget.


Documentation and summary of proposal is require upon completion.

Please note: All projects must be made available for both archival and sales purposes when possible. The Centre for Modern Initiatives requires a non-exclusive negotiable publishing right when appropriate. All profit from the sales of books or images through the Modern Initiatives shop are directed back into the Centre in order to further the CMI’s mission. A mutually agreed upon commission
